Uyen Khuong (pronounced “Winn”) became an accidental activist for New Jersey during the 2016 Presidential Election.
Uyen is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ), a group of 18,000+ members with 20 county chapters. ATNJ is a progressive group of volunteers providing civic education, support for progressive legislation and helps recruit progressive candidates to run for office.
Uyen is a Board Member of the League of Women Voters NJ; the Board of Advisors for NJ State Unity and also serves on Governor Murphy’s Diversity and Inclusivity Council. Uyen has been the recipient of several awards including EMILY’s List for her organizing achievements, the Breaking Barriers Award from CAIR-NJ and she has received the Trailblazer Award from Senator Menendez. Under her leadership, ATNJ has been honored with the Community Service Award from the American Muslim Council.
